Jack’s Back!

The new season of 24 started tonight (if you don’t count the 2-hour “movie event” Redemption). I’ve been a fan of the show since it started, but over the last year and a half the plot has seemed a little stale. There’s only so many times you can cheer for Jack when he yells, “There’s not enough time, dammit!” or “Tell me what I need to know now, dammit!”.

Tonight’s episode was pretty good. The 24 plotline for this season looks like it’s at least a little more interesting than Prison Break, which up until this year had been another favourite of mine. This season has seemed like an updated version of the A-Team - get a rag-tag group of ex-cons together, watch them build gadgets from duct tape, wires, and other junk, and see them put one over on the bad guys. I pity the fool! I guess I’m not the only one who feels that the show’s been going downhill; it’s just been cancelled. Dunno what my wife will do once Wenthworth Miller is gone. Maybe he could be the new Chase Edmunds to Keifer Sutherland’s Jack Bauer. Michael Scofield and Chase look somewhat alike, no? Separated at birth?

Chase or Michael? Michael or Chase?

Chase or Michael? Michael or Chase?
